Sample Sound Slide

Hey everyone here is a sample of the sound slide that I plan to turn in. The audio is just some music that I felt would suit the pictures but there is more audio that will added. I won't be in class today but I wanted there to be something for you all to look at. Let me know any changes that I should make. The audio that will be added in interviews with the kids that we worked with and what they thought of the whole process. Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!!

Trouble Trouble

Okay so we are going to have to reshoot the film for this weekend. The first time was bad but we will do better this second time. I can't believe after all that work we have to do it again but you live and learn. All right, Take 2! Action!

Close to Shooting Day!

I'm really excited about the day of our film and we are finally going to shoot on Saturday. Its going to be a lot of fun and there will be so much to do. Here's a picture of whats to come. This is the "Moms" scene whether the mothers of the two girls who were in a fight confront each other. The moms actually auditioned for these roles and they did really well. We are glad to have them in our film. It looks to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to start editing.

Progress

This weekend we will be shooting for our "Girl Drama" film and I am very excited about it. I will be posting some of the photos from shooting day sense it is also part of my Soundslide. this week has been very busy for me and its going to get worse since not only to I have to prepare the project for this class but I will also be editing out movie. Its a good kind of busy!

Yesterday, the US made a choice for change by electing Barack Obama as the President of the United States of America. When this was announced, I was almost speechless. It was inspiring because this showed that the US has taken a step away from racism, a big step forward towards the future.

Filiming with Kids

My film class at Plaza de la Raza, where I am working with inner-city kids, is working out really well. The kids in the class are really into it which makes working with them not only easy but fun. I have to admit that at the beginning of the quarter I was nervous about this class. However, as the classes have progressed and as we are getting into the shooting part of the project, I'm no longer nervous. I have been taking pictures of the groups during their rehersals and will be getting more. By the end of the quarter I will have a sound slide of the class and I will probably post our video (after the class viewing) on my blog. I will post some of the pictures from the class by this weekend.

Idea!

I think for my Sound-slide project I'm going to take pictures of my class that deals with teaching inner-city kids on how to make a movie. I enjoy the class itself very much but I would also like to document the process that we go through and how these kids get more and more into the project. I think it will be good to get some of the kids reactions of the class. In the end, I think that it will be a very interesting project.
